Jonathan Perry was born and raised in Kaplan, LA. He contributes his rich culture, good morals, and modest lifestyle to the community where he grew up. Louisiana is a place he is proud to call home.
His educational background includes a bachelors degree from Northeast Louisiana University (currently ULM) in Criminal Justice along with a minor in Sociology.
Following the completion of his bachelors degree Jonathan recognized his passion to help others at the age of 25, when he enlisted in the police academy. Soon after enlisting, he married the former Christine LeBeouf.
With determination to further his education he returned to the academic scene in pursuit of a Juris Doctorate. During his first year of law school Jonathan and Christine where blessed with twin daughters, Meredith and Molli. While traveling two hours to and from Baton Rouge, Jonathan spent his weekends working at a local restaurant to provide for his family.
Two years after the completion of his Law Degree, Jonathan and Christine welcomed to their lives a son, Major. Blessed with three beautiful children, Jonathan and Christine reside in Kaplan, LA.
In addition to his life as a father, Jonathan has been actively involved in civic and political issues through his service as a police officer, Kaplan City Councilman and as an Assistant District Attorney for Vermilion Parish.
Jonathan is a hard working and dedicated family man with great values and innovative ideas. He is not afraid to take on any issue and has the energy and enthusiasm needed to get things done. He will fight to protect our heritage and our communities.
It is his belief that it is his time to serve, you, Louisiana, and District 47. The challenges that lie behind have prepared Jonathan for the challenges that lie ahead. He is ready and willing to fight for the vValues that make South Louisiana ours.
